Facial Massage Therapies

My name is Fiona Mackenzie and I am Reflexologist and Holistic Facialist based in Ascot, Berkshire. I am a mobile therapist and travel to all the surrounding areas including Sunninghill, Sunningdale, Virginia Water, Warfield, Binfield, Bracknell and Windsor. I treat in the comfort of your own home.

I worked for many years as long haul cabin crew and this is when I discovered reflexology. On long flights, there was nothing better than winding down afterwards with some reflexology. It really helped with the sluggish feeling of jet lag and I was hooked!

Roll on a few years and I decided to take the leap and train to be a Reflexologist. I am qualified with a Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology and Anatomy and Physiology. I have also trained at the London School of Reflexology with the award winning Reflexologist Ziggie Bergman in Advanced Facial Reflexology and Zone Face Lift which has been described as the “holistic alternative to Botox”. I have been passionate to carry on learning and helping women find their inner calm so I have recently trained in Facial Sculpting Massage, Buccal Massage and Facial Cupping. The benefits I seen first hand with these natural treatments blew me away!

Whether you are looking for support in reducing your day-to-day stress levels, looking to naturally enhance your skin the holistic way or would just like a little "me" time, my aim is to get you feeling happier, healthier and energised with specially-tailored Reflexology and Holistic Facial treatments.

I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists. Please visit my Frequently Asked Questions for more information about my Good Practice Policy.

Good Practice Policy

I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists and this demonstrates that I have a nationally recognised Diploma in Reflexology.

As a member I am: Bound by the AoR Code of Practice and Ethics, follow the AoR Good Practice Policy and hygiene guidance to ensure client safety, will always be adequately insured for medical malpractice /professional indemnity requirements (the industry standard is in excess of £5 million cover), comply with the AoR Continuing Professional Development requirements which ensures my practice is kept up to date and comply with GDPR data protection (please see my separate GDPR policy - your information will remain confidential at all times). As I keep data electronically I am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office.

As a professional and highly qualified reflexologist with MAR status, I will provide you with the appropriate bespoke treatment and support.

Can I have a Facial treatment if I’ve had Botox or fillers?

I’d advise waiting for 3 weeks to have Facial Reflexology and 6 weeks for all other facial treatments.

Do you have any health requests?

Health requests of my clients are as follows:

  • If you have a cough, a fever or loss of taste and smell or have been in touch with anyone with these symptoms please contact me as we may need to postpone your appointment.

  • In return I will apply these high standards to myself. Should I feel unwell, unable to treat or it is inadvisable for me to treat, I will explain the situation to you as soon as possible before your treatment.
Do you treat males?

As a touch therapist I choose to only treat females unless a male is referred by a current client. It is permissible under Section 35 Subsection 2 of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975, for treatments where physical contact is involved, for a therapist to choose to treat only clients of the same sex.

What is your in-depth consultation form?

Prior to your first appointment I will ask you to fill out an in-depth consultation form which includes your expectations and what you would like to achieve from your treatment.

Having the form filled out before your appointment allows more time for the treatment on the day.

However, if you would like to go through it at the appointment, I will allow some extra time. It can also be completed over the phone.

How many treatments will I need?

To feel the full benefits I do recommend having a course of treatments, usually weekly or fortnightly for 4-6 weeks.

Regular weekly treatments are best for the body properly beginning the self-healing process. After an initial course of treatment many people choose to check in monthly for a top-up to help maintain their general wellbeing, or as a scheduled 'de-stress'.

What happens in a treatment?

Reflexology is performed entirely on the feet, ankles, hands or face so the most you’ll have to do is take off your socks and roll up your trousers! Facial Reflexology and Zone Face Lift are also non invasive and all that needs to be removed is jewellery from the neck and ears. During the treatment the client lies on their back on a reclining chair, supported by pillows and covered with a soft blanket to keep them warm.

Does reflexology hurt?

You might find some areas feel sensitive to the touch, but Reflexology does not involve hard pressing in the way something like a sports massage might.

As a therapist I will be aware of the status of your feet, noticing how they feel, the temperature and colour. All these things play a part in understanding which areas of your body - as reflected through your feet - require a bit more care and attention.
